Tips submitted through this website are encrypted, entirely confidential, and completely anonymous.
The phone tip line, 1-800-222 (TIPS) is not traceable and we do not subscribe to caller ID or call display.
Tipsters can also report information about any non-urgent illegal activity via Text Messaging. Our TipSoft Short Message Service (SMS) software which allows text messaging tipsters to remain anonymous by encrypting the text messages and routing them through several secure servers, to protect the personal details of the tipster. (For Emergencies call 911)
Outside of normal business hours, your WEB tips (or text tips) are monitored by our answering service. The tip is forwarded to the appropriate authorities in situation where immediate action is necessary only if the tip has sufficient information. (ie) location/time frame etc. The answering service does not have two way dialogue capabilities to confirm important details or ask you questions. Please call the 1-800 tip line if your tip requires a more immediate response.
In order to protect your anonymity;
